Degree Programs
Bachelor - Recording Arts
The objective of the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Recording Arts degree program is to prepare students for professional career development opportunities in the audio recording industry. The program focuses on the use of industry-current digital audio technology, hardware, software and industry standard equipment and studio facilities.
Recording Arts will begin by teaching music theory, an essential element in establishing a career in the audio industry. Students can then learn how to play the keyboard and read music notations; these courses will further assist them in their career goals to become either a recording engineer or producer. Students can then go on to learn advanced recording and mixing and mastering techniques, as well as the principles of sound design for CD production, film and video, digital audio production, and DVD (Digital Versatile Disks) production. Each class builds upon the concepts taught in the previous term leading up to a final studio project that will encompass all in which they have been taught and completing their B.F.A. in Recording Arts. Associate - Digital Photography
The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Digital Photography is designed to educate students interested in careers that rely upon the commercial application of advanced digital techniques in photographic reproduction and imaging. As technological advancements drive the merging of the fields of graphic design and photography, the curriculum will broaden a student's understanding of commercial photography and better prepare one for meeting the growing demand for expertise in digital imaging.
Graduates should be educated to pursue a variety of career paths including, but not limited to, commercial photography, studio management, photographic editor, portrait photography, or new media artist. Associate - Fashion Design and Marketing
We offer both an Associate of Applied Science and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design and Marketing. Our goal is to encourage students to develop their creative talents, so they can become innovative designers in the field. The program focuses on techniques of fine craftsmanship, consumer-based needs, and business awareness. At the International Academy of Design and Technology - Tampa, the Fashion Design curriculum was developed to be an intense set of courses that can prepare graduates for a career in the designing, making and marketing of fashion. Plus, in order to sharpen their skills using textile equipment, students work with industrial machines, cutting tables, and dress forms.
Associate - Graphic Design
Our Graphic Design program is designed to give students the opportunity to develop their own creative abilities and combine them with the practical skills necessary to succeed in the field. In addition to the important elements of graphic design, students have the opportunity to develop their business and interpersonal communication skills. We know you need skills beyond conceptual design to keep your edge in a competitive market. Plus, we include classes in multimedia where students can acquire the technical skills needed to be successful in the world of digital media.
Associate - Interactive Media
Your Web design training can begin at IADT - Tampa where students can learn professional design skills! Students in our Interactive Media program can learn to create compelling Web pages that utilize industry-current technologies and design techniques. Learn basic HTML coding and then expand your skills to excel in the hot interactive media field.

Associate - Interior Design
The Associate of Applied Science and Bachelor of Fine Arts degree programs in Interior Design offered at IADT - Tampa is designed to prepare students for a creative and fulfilling career as a professional Interior Designer. We provide you with the valuable education and experience you need to enhance the function and quality of an interior space while working within the architecture of the space. Students examine how interiors that are designed with innovative ideas can influence the human reaction to a space. Plus, our small class sizes encourage the development of solid interior design skills and a mastery of the fundamentals.
Bachelor - Computer Animation
Computer Animation is an artful blend of creative vision and information technology. Computer animators work in 3-D, bringing their characters and imagination to life through realistic subtleties and motion. You can learn how to cultivate a critical thought process as it relates to space and time. First, you can develop drawing and rendering skills, and then you can combine them with writing and storytelling in the digital realm. Finally, you can move on to advanced character modeling, achieving the skills and knowledge necessary to enter this exciting field. You can also graduate with a demo reel that can help you land your first job.
Computer modeling and animation may be explored through industry-current programs, such as Alias/Wavefront ® Maya ™, Macromedia ® Flash ™ and discreet ® 3ds max ™. The International Academy's program in Merchandising is demanding, technical, and comprehensive. Students can learn about fashion illustration, pattern drafting, design, draping, clothing construction, textiles, fashion history, fashion merchandising, and production techniques. The program also focuses on the global fashion and merchandising industry focusing on market and trend research, design development, visual displays, sales and business practices and production management. All of the instruction is presented using industrial grade equipment in spacious and comfortable facilities built for optimum fashion designing. A balanced curriculum can provide students with the expertise to design and communicate their ideas, combining theoretical elements of design with creative and practical approaches to the solution of problems pertaining to the functional quality of marketable products. A foundation in general education coursework rounds out the student's knowledge base.
Media Design Management
Management careers in the design community are creating new opportunities for focused professionals who are willing and motivated to acquire the knowledge, skills and experience required to effectively and efficiently handle complex sets of responsibilities. The International Academy of Design and Technology's Master of Fine Arts degree program in Media Design Management helps prepare students for management opportunities in the multimedia industry. The emphasis of the MFA degree program is the analysis and effective use of media in a variety of applied design formats. Prospective students will have to meet certain requirements before being accepted into The International Academy of Design and Technology's Master of Fine Arts degree program in Media Design Management.
